Swim schools

Learn-to-swim pools carry the highest Cryptosporidium risk and the smallest plant rooms. A validated UV system exempts a pool from the 13-to-26-hour hyperchlorination after a Crypto notification — that is days of lessons kept.

The rule that matters most here

After a Cryptosporidium notification, the Guidelines (§9.2) require hyperchlorination — 20 mg/L for 13 hours or 10 mg/L for 26 hours — unless a validated secondary disinfection system such as UV is installed. For a swim school that is the difference between a closed day and a normal one.

What a small plant room needs

  • A validated UV unit sized for the pool's actual flow — small pools do not need large chambers.
  • A controller that measures free chlorine and pH, with an output so readings go to a log.
  • A daily DPD check written against the controller reading.

How we work with chains

One review at one site, one configuration agreed, then repeated across the other sites with the same log. Equipment is supplied through your pool contractor.

Tell us about your plant room

One email with the facility type, number of pools and what controls the chemistry today is enough to start.
